Guild Rules Empty Guild Rules

Important
You should know, that with the <Dark Vendetta> guildtag above your head, you represent the guild as a whole. Any suspicion that we may have about you acting in a way that could hurt the reputation of the guild can result in a guild-kick, regardless of your current rank in the guild.

As a sitenote i'd like to say, that if your application is accepted, you should go and register yourself on myraids.com/dvdkp as soon as possible, to sign up for raids etc.

As in any other organization there are a number of rules in Dark Vendetta. These concern, mainly, raids, loot and general behaviour and are there for everyones benefit. If you feel any of the rules have been broken please speak to an officer about it. This is especially important if the one who might have broken the rules is an officer which hopefully won't happen that often but we are human too after all.

Also, before introducing you guys fully into the rules, i'd like to state, that we're a social-based hardcore raiding guild. We do NOT want slackers. It won't be tolerated.

The Rules:

Guild Ranks:
Dark Vendetta's members are divided into several ranks with different responsibilities and benefits.
Trialist: This is the rank for those who are not yet full members of DV. During the trial period you will be evaluated both as a player and for how well you fit in socially in Dark Vendetta. How long this takes may vary but it shouldn't be more than a few weeks. During this period we are allowed to kick players without previous warning, if we feel it being necessary. Also, trialists aren't likely to recieve DKP from joining raids, before they're promoted.
Initiate: Those trialists who are deemed worthy of membership will be promoted to the initiate rank. This is a full membership but also an indication that you are fairly new to the Dark Vendetta community. Initiates will have lower priority to loot and may still be asked to leave Dark Vendetta if the guild feels they don't quite fit in.
Casual: This is the rank that is used for real-life friends, honorable members etc. In general, these guys will have the same priority on loot as the initiates.
Member: Once we have full confidence in you as a Dark Vendettan you'll be promoted to the member status wich is the standard rank of the guild.
Raider: Those who show the most dedication and skill in raids will be promoted to raider and have a slightly higher priority for loot and spots in the raid. Especially for progress raids.
Officer: The officers are the ones running the guild on a daily basis. If you have any questions these are the people to ask. For raid purposes they are treated as raiders since they are all dedicated to the guild and our progress.
Guild master: Luminarium have final say in all things regarding the guild and any issue that an officer can't solve should be brought to him.

General rules:
The golden rule. This is the common sense rule that says that you should treat others as you would like them to treat you. This means that you should be polite, treat others with respect, don't ninja or spam and keep your promises. This doesn't just apply to guildies it applies to everyone in the Bloodscalp community. Your actions reflect on the guild and if you drag Dark Vendettas name in the dirt you risk being let go.

Raid Rules:
Be Active. You should be able to attend to atleast a few of our raids every week. Of course, there's going to be periods where you can't raid, or can't raid as much as usually. Read the exception rule a little further down this post.
Be on time. This means that you should be online and ready to raid 15 minutes before raidstart. It also means that you should show up if you signed up and stay until the raid ends (weekdays at 23 and weekends at 24).
Be prepared. Your gear should be in the best reasonable condition it can be, enchanted, gemmed and repaired. You should have plenty of consumables and enough gold to pay for repairs. You should also be familiar with the strategies for all the bosses (there are plenty of websites where you can read and watch videos about them)
Be alive. When we raid we raid. Don't go afk in a way that will slow the raid down, don't have the TV on in the background (or any other distractions) and make sure to follow instructions.
Raid addons: There are a few addons that we require (and a program). You should have teamspeak and be able to listen to instructions through it. You should have a bossmod (we recommend Deadly bossmods). We also recommend that you get Ora2 (raidUI/management), an addon to help with dispelling if your class is able to and an addon to help you evaluate your performance in raids (like recount). Omen is highly recommended aswell.
The exception rule: Talk to an officer before the raid(or before the vacation, in some cases) if you have a temporary problem with one or more of the rules. There are always circumstances and as long as you let us know beforehand there is usually no problem. - this one is quite important!! -

Loot rules:
We handle loot distribution via Loot Council. This means that the officers will decide who recieves any given item. The goal is to be as fair as possible so that everyone gets a little love from the lootgods but that those that work the hardest for Dark Vendetta's progress are rewarded for their efforts. In general higher ranks have prio over lower ranks, big upgrade over small upgrade, main over alt and the highest armortype over lower armortype (meaning that clothies will most often have prio on cloth, leatherwearers prio on leather and so on). In the end it's a judgementcall by the officers and the general principles may be overuled if that seems better.

Important note: You should be aware of what loot is good for you and not say that you need items that are not ment for your class, even though they may be a slight upgrade. For example: Paladins and shamans have little or no use for spirit so a ring with stamina, intelligence, spirit, spellpower and haste will be better suited for a priest, warlock, druid or mage. If none of the more suited classes need the item you are, of course, free to take it. (The lootcouncil will handle this but if you handle it yourselves it saves us the trouble).

To reinforce the loot council system, we use an DKP scoreboard, to keep track of raid attendance/loot distribution.

(If you have read this post, please write "ooohhh, lore" in the question: "did you read the stickies?/Will you follow them?" , to let us know that you've read this stickies?" )
